How long will it take each day?

Each video is around 15-minutes, some are shorter with part 1 + 2

To create a new habit and achieve the best benefits, we aim for 15 minutes of pilates exercises on most days, though 3 – 5 times a week is a great alternative.

For days when you have less time available, you also receive a Standing Recharge video – providing a quick daily boost in 5 minutes

When will I see and feel any results?

Daily practice will help you feel the difference in enhanced balance, flexibility, strength and moving more freely.

Throughout the programme you will increase energy and start to feel younger.

What if I miss a zoom Q&A session

You will be sent a link to the recording of each session and a summary email to help motivate, support and keep you on track.

What if I struggle to get up and down from the floor?

The videos are designed in a progressive way starting with standing and sitting options, and, later including exercises on the floor. 

If getting up and down is a challenge, the lying exercises can be performed on a bed, if that is easier for you.

What equipment do I need?

For BOOST 15, the exercises require no special equipment, just space to move easily, near a chair or wall.

I suggest the use of a simple cushion sometimes between your knees and a folded towel or small head cushion can be helpful.

Some of the arm exercises use optional weights e.g. 2 x 500ml bottles of water, or 2 x 400gm cans of food or if you have them ½, 1kg, or 1 ½ kg hand weights

I am not sure if I am too old or too young for your programme?

The programme is designed for clients age 60+, this is a guide only as our actual chronological age, (based on your birthdate) can be quite different from your body age (your biological age).

If you are 50 – 60+ you are welcome to join the programme, especially if you are new to pilates or returning to pilates.

My aim is that with 15 minutes a day of pilates we can help you feel younger, energised and stronger.

Each person completes a health questionnaire on enrolment, so I am aware of any specific health needs.

Do you have payment options?

I ask for a deposit to secure your places of £25 with the balance payable a week before the programme starts.

Do I have to wear special clothing?

Wear comfortable clothes allowing you to move your arms + legs freely.

For standing exercises, you can choose bare feet, grip socks, or light indoor shoes or trainers with a supportive arch, whatever you prefer.

What is the best time to do the 15-minute videos?

Choose a time of the day that works around your other activities, ideally creating a habit each day. 

This can vary throughout the week depending on other priorities e.g. before breakfast, lunchtime or mid-afternoon.

It’s not the right time now

I run the programme every 2 months (6 x a year).  If now is not the right time for you, you will be able to join at the next opening.

To recognise your interest, you will receive a bonus 15 ‘Around Your Home’ exercises to work on until you are ready to start.

What happens after the 7 weeks?

I would love to continue to help you on your pilates journey.  There are several options available, so you can choose which is best for you. 

Some of the options include:-

  1. Repeat the 7-week programme using the pre-recorded videos yourself, focusing on key areas for you
  2. Practice your favourite videos based on the areas of your body you need to focus on
  3. Join BOOST 15 Plus for a follow-up programme, 10 additional videos, providing further challenging exercises, you will be sent a resistance band and a soft pilates ball
  4. Choose to join daily live zoom classes with Gillian
  5. Subscribe to our monthly zoom recording only option – with access to 30+ videos prepared by Gillian
